Herbal, grassy nose with mild tropical fruit, followed by tropical guava, grassy notes and zest of lime on palate. Crisp, extra-dry with tropical fruit finish.

This smooth Sauvignon Blanc has aromas and flavours of fresh grass, lychee, lime and honeydew melon. A blend from various wine regions in New Zealand makes this a versatile wine for pairing with a variety of appetizers. It was delicious paired with apple slices and beemster cheese.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Sauvignon Blanc has is bursting with lots of fragrant notes of florals and ripe lime. There is a lovely, juicy acidity and lots of sweet melon and pink grapefruit on the palate. This wine represents the Marlborough style of Sauvignon Blanc very well and would be well matched with any light seafood dishes.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A very fragrant Sauvignon Blanc with lots of young pineapple, fresh cut grass, passion fruit with a little minerality, fresh herbs, and white flower. The fresh aromas are accompanied by bright acidity and a taste primarily of lime and pineapple, but with a little tropical fruit as well. A very nice example of New Zealand SBs, pairing well with any light fish or tropical fruit platter.
David Skinner rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A pale straw colour with aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit, lime, wet stone and herbs. Medium bodied and crisp acidity accented by citrus flavours, particularly grapefruit, give a pleasing mouth feel and medium finish well balanced between fruit and acid levels.

Perfect with a Goat cheese and tomato galette.

The 2015 vintage yields were particularly low. Frost damage at bud break and early rains affected pollination but perfect ripening conditions accounted for a strong finish to what could have been an even more difficult year.
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bargain benchmark NZ Sauv Bl! Balanced fruit notes (green pineapple, passion fruit and lime), herbaceous notes (fresh sage and basil) and floral notes (citrus blossom). Pretty complex little wine if you ask me! On the palate, you'll find an acidic mouthwatering mouthfeel, light bodied in texture and refreshing in the finish. Enjoy with seafood salad.
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Pale straw in color, this combines gooseberry, passion fruit, grapefruit and lime with herbal notes on the nose and palate. Light bodied and fruity with crisp acidity and nicely balanced. Drink over the next year or two with citrus and greens or pan seared scallops.A solid wine choice and good value. Tasted Sept 2015 at Villa Maria winemaker lunch.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A well made, value priced Sauvignon Blanc from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys in Marlborough. Very expressive, with sweet exotic and tropical fruits, mineral, wet stone, and herbaceous notes. Refreshing acidity with a long exotic fruit and herbal finish. Pair with green salads with creamy goat cheese and citrus based dressings. Tasted September 2015. 90 points. Matt Steeves @QuercusVino
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lime and fresh cut herb aromas follow through with a crisp juiciness. A classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc!

Natalie's Review

Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Marlborough, New Zealand: A vibrant Sauvignon Blanc with a crisp, lime-fresh nose and racy acidity on the palate that's perfect for seafood. Notes of grapefruit and fresh herbs on the finish makes this a terrific chilled aperitif as well. Highly recommended. Drink: 2015-2017. 426601 12.50% XD 750 mL  $20.00 Score: 90/100.
