A lovely plush Merlot. Aromas include dark ripe plums and berries, along with some spice (clove?) and some minerality. Flavours mingle nicely and are balanced by a bit of oak. Smooth, and easy drinking, with a longer finish. Would pair with a wide variety of braised or roasted meat dishes.

A very typical Washington Merlot, with abundant aromas of baked plums, sweet baking spices and gingerbread. A rich, opulent mouthfeel is completed with a dense, long finish.

A surprisingly ripe Merlot from Washington state, with plum, blackberry, leather, and vanilla. A medium-bodied, velvety delight. Drinkable wine that is not too tannic, so it can go with lighter pasta dishes and soft cheeses.

The Velvet Devil had me at hello with it's 2013 vintage of Washington State cold climate Merlot. Ruby red, 13.5?V. On the nose this wine offers graphite minerality, cassis, blueberry and mirrored on the palate. The vineyard professes terroir to bottle in the "Land to Hand and Vineyard to Bottle" expression. Recommend as a crowd pleaser, great for celebrating. Enjoy now.
