This 2012 Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon still could have sat for another couple of years, but after decanting, it was a beaut! Lots of black fruit flavours like blackberry and cassis, plus vanilla, leather and smokiness. A perfect pairing for duck magret off the grill. Good till the last drop, this bottle didn’t make it through the night. Keep an eye out for it in Vintages and pick up a bottle for your next special occasion. (Tasted February 2017)

Rich ripe blackberry/cherry fruit, leather, dark chocolate and smoky earthy notes come through on the nose and palate. Tannins are mild on the palate. Wine is medium bodied with great (medium) acidity and a medium finish. Pair with hickory sweet smokey BBQ!

Plush red and black cherry aromas surrounded by warm smoke, vanilla, blueberry, and a little earthiness. The taste follows the aromas nicely and throws in a little round tannins. Some spiciness is a little more present in the taste than the aromas. The tannins are not overpowering, but hang around through the finish. Very nice.

From the Knights Valley, Sonoma appellation comes this Cab Sauv, produced by Beringer since 1974. Its distinct style results from the cobbled rock and alluvial soils where it is grown and from grapes grown throughout the vineyard. Extra dry, medium-bodied, exhibiting delicious dark berry fruit, baking spice, vanilla and cedar throughout. ready to enjoy now or will age well.

This red wine of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich deep ruby colour with some slow legs. The wine is birthed from 600 acres of vast farmland, and deep alluvial low- lying soils. The wines from this Sonoma sub-appellation that is only 5 miles in length and 1 mile in width tend to exhibit a brambly character. Lots of dark berries,blueberry, black plum, cigar box, vanilla, clove, licorice on the nose and palate. Tannins are evident but not overpowering while acidity sits at medium+ and cleansing. Enjoy over the next 5-7 years. Decant 2 hours. Pair with roasted and grilled red meats.

The 2012 vintage of Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, is made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon and offers a medium-bodied, ruby red wine with great aging potential. Medium acidity, high tannins, dense dark red / blue fruit character and a hint of dried herb. The fruit comes from the low-lying mountain valley of rock-stressed vines with brambly character. Enjoy 2015-2020 with braised or grilled red meats.
