Clear purple color.

Aromas of bleuberry, cassis and strawberry jam.

The palate is hot, jammy, supple, fresh, medium-bodied and long.

Pair it with burger, BBQ.

Serve it at 15-16 degrees.

Ready to drink but can be aged 3-5 years.
Donna Hargrove rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A nice deep red in colour, this Zin' aromas are full of berry fruit! Those flavours continue through to a deliciously smooth finish. Paired with anything off the BBQ this wine would be perfect for that special occasion, but make sure you have a few bottles, because it will be popular!

Raspberry jam, mocha, clove, cinnamon, raisins on the nose
Coffee, dark chocolate, raspberries, velvety tannins, full bodied

Filet mignon! (Right now please!)
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Bright aromas of raspberry and blackberry, with a touch of blueberry an black pepper. The taste follows the aroma, perhaps adding a bit of dark chocolate. Big flavours, big acidity and some firm tannins. Outstanding. This is a great wine for any barbecued red meats.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2013 vintage Seghesio Zinfandel yields from the Sonoma County sustainably farmed estate vineyards. The ruby red appearance leads the way to the emergence of full-bodied ripe and jammy blackberry, hint of baking spice and anise. This medium acidity, medium tannins, full-flavoured red is well-structured and well-balanced. Ripe raspberry and vanilla persistence and medium-long finish. This wine is ready to enjoy now and is a wonderful expression of Zinfandel. Pair with sweet and saucy BBQ, braised meats or goumet vegetarian protein sources.
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is true California Zinfandel! Raspberry jam, vanilla, with a hint of mint dance together both on the nose and mouth. Wonderful with wood fired pizza.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark red fruit, baking spice, pepper and touch of smoke on this full-bodied Zin.
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Seghesio has been one of my favorite Zin producers since first tasting it over 10 years ago - the nose is expressive with raspberry and blueberry, spicy and with slight jammy/candied notes. Sweet and ripe berry fruit with good extraction, full bodied, rich and layered with baking spice. Good length, the 14.8% alcohol is kept in check. Back ribs slathered in BBQ sauce should be on the menu. Tasted April 2015
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Plum and raspberry aromas with the palate giving a jammy mixture of red and black fruit with a touch of spice to give a long and flavorful finish. This wine cries out for BBQ ribs.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

What a tasty Zin! So well balanced, lively rapsberry and spice, great structure, and everything in harmony. A terrific example of premium Zin. 92 points. Tasted March 2015. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Natalie's Review

Seghesio Zinfandel 2013, Sonoma County, California, United States: The Seghesio Zinfandel is one of Californian's best Zins. It packed with jammy black fruit. This wine has been produced since 1895 and today the vines are ancient at about 30 years old. Serious zin for fun barbecues. The grapes for this Zinfandel grow in vineyards planted in the Alexander Valley and Dry Creek in Sonoma. Pair with gourmet hamburgers. Drink: 2013-2019. 942151 14.80% D 750 mL  $31.95 Score: 93/100.
