Rich, aromatic and flavourful. Aromas of cherry jam, blueberries as well an earthy tone and a hint of smoke from oak aging. Smooth fruit and earthy flavours come through on the palate, with light tannin and some acidity for balance. This would be great with pork, ribs, or even a nice paté with baguette. Enjoy!
Terry Jeans rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Light ruby with the typical rich cherry nose, earthy notes and spice. Medium acidity and slight tannins, make this a interesting food wine or really great all on it's own.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as
91/100 with the following review:
Lovely big Napa Pinot. Raspberry, mulberry, sweet spices, and a long berry and spice finish. A terrific wine for cedar planked salmon or even pulled pork as this wine has the body and flavour intensity to stand-up to and complement tangy BBQ fare. Enjoy this summer or cellar for 3-5 years. Tasted April 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Astrid Young rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
The nose is as dense as the color: opaque garnet, showing ripe and stewed berry fruit, blackberries, blueberries and black cherries with developed oak aspects of vanilla and toast. Overripe aspects of stewed prunes and raisins, with dried tropical fruit, nuts and a hint of dark chocolate. This wine is the equivalent of an MMA fighter challenging a fledgling boxer - what it lacks in finesse it makes up for I. Sheer brawn. see you in the octagon ... The good news is, it's a versatile food wine, and will be able to take anything you throw at it, from Chinese to Indian, pizza, barbeque, spaghetti.

Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as
83/100 with the following review:
On the nose, rasberries and plums compote, with some cracked peppers.A little hint of rubbing alcohol.Cherry jam on the palate, then more of a milk chocolate flavour. Satin feel, with a fresh finish, but with an unfortunate bit of astringency in the finale. Would probably be nicely integrated if drunk with food instead of by itself. With tourtière or grilled mix.

Tart red fruit nose. Yummy palate with juicy red fruit, vanilla, baking spice, earth and milk chocolate. Medium-bodied, bright acidity, long bright red fruit finish. Hard to put down, a terrific Pinot. Would make a great gift for a Pinot lover.

Pale ruby. Pretty nose of ripe red berries over liquid cherry. Good acidity with silky tannins. Berries repeated with the addition of black pepper, clove, vanilla, rose petal. This is a lovely California Pinot that would befriend just about anything you choose to serve.
