Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is good Pinot Noir. Lots of cut and thrust. The alcohol is a little hot. Beautiful cherry, raspberry, mushroom, forest floor, ripe red currants and a hit of beet root and glycerine on the finish. 90 Points.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pinot Noir- Germany’s most planted red grape. This one was very nice and the price is right! Sour cherry, baking spices and leather. Herbal and floral tones make an appearance in the finish. Solid acidity with soft tannins. Pair with sliders topped with marinated mushrooms. Tasted: July 2017
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A light bodied cranlicious Pinot Noir. Prominent notes include tart cherry, cranberry, and spice. A prominent barnyard note persists as well. Enjoy this high acid mouthwatering Pinot with herb roasted chicken breasts. Tasted May 2017 @sommsosa
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful German Pinot. Big acidity, earthiness, barnyard. Garnet. Well balanced, integrated alcohol, declared 13.5% ABV. Cherry, strawberry, minerality. Medium bodied. Drinking very well. Accessibly priced. Great value. Tasted 2012 vintage in May 2017. 90 points. Bespoke Tastings.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blackberries, blueberries, cedar and baking spices in the aroma lead to a mouth-filling taste of blackberry and cassis, with some rounded tannins adding structure. The acidity is medium, and the mouth-feel could best be describes as velour. The finish is tannic blackberry and cassis. A very full, fruity Cab Sauv, and quite a good value.

Natalie's Review

Runkel Pinot Noir 2012, Quälitatswein, Rheinhessen, Germany: An expansive, aromatic German red wine with gorgeous notes of black cherry, earth and smoke. Medium-bodied, supple and smooth. This is a staggeringly great price for Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir is Germany's flagship red wine, in my opinion and it clocks in at a fraction of the price of Burgundy or even New World regions.
