Matt Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

2013 Vintage: Medium ruby red with a hint of garnet on the rim, the nose shows plum, cherry, dried herbs, leather, and floral notes. Dry, with tart dark berry, leather, herbs, and spice on the medium-full bodied palate. Good value and terrific with Margherita pizza or mushroom risotto. Tasted November 2015. 90 points. Jane Staples reviewed this wine as follows:

A fragrant dry red wine made from a delicious blend of three Piedmont varietals; Dolcetto D’Alba, Barbera d’Alba and Nebbiolo. A perfumey nose of dark cherry, fig, violets, incense and a touch of tobacco. Dark fruits and slight tobacco on the palate. Full-bodied with long elegant finish. Great now and even better with 5 years in the cellar. Excellent with roast beef or pasta in tomato-based sauces.

Natalie's Review

Batasiolo Benito Langhe Rosso 2012, Piedmont, Italy: A smooth, medium-bodied Italian red wine with attractive plum and berry notes. This red wine is a blend of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes, each of which contribute different flavours and complexity to the wine: Dolcetto d'Alba offers ripe fruit, Barbera d'Alba brings balancing acidity for food and Langhe Nebbiolo imparts tannin for structure. Enjoy with a prime rib. Drink: 2015-2018. 981019 13% XD 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 87/100. November 14, 2015 Best Beef Wine  Full Review

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
