Fruit forward with an earthy note in this lovely blend from BC. Aromas of plums, cherry and chocolate, mixed with dried herbs and earth. Smooth, medium bodied and medium tannins. Nice acidity to balance out fruit on the palate. This wine would be great with a variety of meat and or game dishes, maybe some elk burgers on the BBQ. Enjoy!

Juicy ripe plum, raspberry, a slight earthiness, baking spices and chocolate aromas are the main aromas of this BC wine. The taste is plum and cherry with some nice tartness from the well balanced acidity. Medium tannins lend a little structure and the finish is a medium tart cherry. A very nice prime rib wine.

This medium-bodied red blend of Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep ruby colour and characteristics both fruity and savoury. Cherry, strawberry, plum, violets, cloves, vanilla, pepper, dried herbs. The palate is smooth with notes toasted oak, earth, mocha, and some drying tannins. Acidity is medium+. A very good fruit driven finish. Very good VQA. Pair with roasted poultry, small game meat, salted and grilled steak. Enjoy now.

Calliope 2013, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia BC VQA, Canada: An medium-bodied, smooth BC red wine produced by Figure Eight Wyse Family Wines. Aromas of mocha from oak aging along with black plum and spice. pair with grilled pork chops. Calliope is the name of a hummingbird that flies through the Okanagan Valley.
