Martin Geleynse rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

This is a terrific, traditional drier shiraz - the steam engine on a freight train dragging its load across a weathered plain, billowing smoke and sparks. It spews black pepper, mossy/herb notes so typical of Barossa, spicy sausage and blackcurrant/acai fruit. Dried red flowers too. All on steel rails of red earth and graphite. It's a great dry-farmed shiraz with gumption and soul. And yes outstanding length and agreeability. Score - 96. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Nov. 2015)
Jane Staples rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This seductive Barossa Valley, South Australia Shiraz gives beautiful blackberry, raspberry and vanilla fragrances leading to an intensely flavoured palate with lots of dark berry, mint, spice and vanilla. Dry and silky smooth with elegant finish. Terrific gift wine.

Natalie's Review

Barossa Valley Estate E & E Black Pepper Shiraz 2008, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: Terrific, savoury and juicy Australian red wine from an iconic producer in the heart of the country's Shiraz-land, the Barossa Valley. This full-bodied Shiraz finishes with dried herbs and fleshy black plum. Supple and smooth. Pair with ribeye steak. Drink: 2012-2019. 731620 15% XD 750 mL  $96.95 Score: 94/100. The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
