Typical Marlborough sauv blanc. Canned peas, citrus, fresh cut grass, and a hint of stone fruit. High acidity makes this wine super refreshing, with lemon, grassiness, pineapple, loads of minerality, green apple and again that hint of stone fruit. Quite nice!

Nobilo screams New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc: grassy, guava, gooseberry, with a lime zest underlay, powerfully pungent! A high acidity and medium body characterize this pale yellow, lively wine. The guava character replays on the palate as well as lemon zest. It has a long finish cleansing finish. Very refreshing! I would pair with grilled swordfish steak and dandelion greens.

An exceptional New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that is a great value for the price. It has lots of lemon, gooseberry, minerality, pineapple and fresh green grass on the nose. It is
medium bodied with lemon & minerality flavours with a long finish & well balanced acidity. A great summer wine that will pair well with soft cream cheeses, green salads and seafood.

2014 was considered a great vintage year in New Zealand. This is certainly expressed in the Regional Collection Sauvignon Blanc with tropical aromas of pineapple, honedew melon, pink grapefruit and notes of minerality and cut grass. The vibrant, tropical fruit is translated to the palate with a mouth-watering acidity. This wine paired beautifully with albacore tuna and would pair equally as well with oysers.

90/100 with the following review:
A complex Sauvignon Blanc with a good helping of fruit and vegetal aspects, including cut grass, pineapple, white grapefruit, melon, green beans, gooseberry. If you like New Zealand SBs but find them a little *too* green, this is a great wine for you. The taste has lots of green melon and pineapple the high acidity makes it very refreshing. This will pair well with many foods, including tuna tartar and Weiner Schnitzel.

89/100 with the following review:
Light straw colour. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and herbaceous notes followed by more tropical fruit on the palate and supportive flavours of citrus. The finish was driven by a mouth-watering acidity well suited to the varietal and region and lingering minerality that creates a nicely balanced example of a great value Sauvignon Blanc. Drink this with ceviche or lemon chicken.

Tropical fruit - pineapple, melon - wafts out of the glass, followed by grassy/herbaceous/tomato leaf aromas. Soft, yet has just the right amount of acidity on the palate. Reward yourself with a glass or two after mowing the lawn!

This is not your standard Sauvignon Blanc (although it's price is just that)! This is a refreshing wine made with grapes from various vineyards around Marlborough. It's a tropical potpourri of passionfruit, melon, lemon-lime, pineapple and a hint of fresh green herbs. On the palate it has fresh mouthwatering acidity and flavours of not-quite-ripe pineapple, green apple, and passionfruit. It was superb with a peppered just-seared tuna appetizer. Delicious! (Thus it is the number 1 selling Sauvignon Blanc in the United States). Luckily it's now available in Ontario.

Refreshing and light, this premium New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is a true crowd-pleaser. Vinified with bunches of small berries with more skin-juice ratio, grown in Marlborough’s Awatere and Wairau vineyards. Bursting with aromas and flavours of citrus and tropical notes of ripe pineapple. Pronounced minerality, closes in a clean, lingering finish. Fantastic paired with albacore tuna and shellfish.

92/100 with the following review:
A crisp, extra dry SB with aromas of fresh pineapple, passionfruit, melon, a touch of citrus and herbal and grassy touches, along with interesting flinty notes. The exuberant palate shows more tropical fruit and bright juicy natural acidity that jumps out of the glass. Mouthwatering with a long tropical fruit finish. This worked beautifully with the Tuna Tartare and would also complement oysters. Excellent value here for a top-notch New Zealand Sauv Blanc.

In 1936, Nikola and Zuva Nobilo moved to New Zealand from Croatia to escape the impending war. They left everything behind except a few important things, one of them was a 300 year old winemaking tradition.
They faced many hurdles trying to put these years of experience to work, mainly because there was no wine culture in New Zealand at the time, add to that was the lack of equipment needed to set up a vineyard. Undeterred, Nikola persevered, built his own tools and in 1943, the couple planted some of the first commercial vines in Huapai, west of Auckland on New Zealand’s North Island.
By the 1970s, Nikola had established himself as a successful winemaker who also helped transform New Zealand’s wine industry by shifting from hybrid grapes to Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
To this day, Nobilo continues to craft delicious wines of distinct regional character from their many vineyards in Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne.
The grapes for this wine hail from Nobilo’s Awatere and Wairau vineyards in Marlborough. Both vineyards were harvested at night to preserve maximum fruit freshness and vinified separately to remain true to their signature style.
In the glass, it is a pale silvery yellow.
On the nose, it is herbaceous with vibrant notes of pineapple, lime zest and guava.
On the palate, it is supple and crisp. “Juicy” acidity (as described by David Edmonds, Nobilo’s winemaker) is the perfect complement to the fine hints of minerality, lime and pink grapefruit flavors.
Perfect to sip on during a warm lazy summer evening!

Sweet stone fruit, passion fruit, lemon-lime, and fresh cut grass on the nose. Palate is super refreshing with great acidity, tangy exotic fruit, and fresh herbal layers, that make this ideal with rich and spicy dishes. Enjoy with Green Curry with coconut, shrimp, and Thai basil! Fantastic value! Tasted August 2015. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Gooseberry and fresh cut grass on the nose and palate with some lemon on the taste. Very soft with a short finish.

First impression - classic NZ Sauvignon Bl. - grassy, herbaceous, lime and mineral, BUT not as overpowering as others I have tasted. The gooseberry cat pee is more (thankfully) subdued and on the palate a nice melon flavour comes through. Wickedly high acidity, light bodied, short finish. Great pair with oysters!

Instantly recognisable, with a blast of smashed gooseberry and white grapefruit on the nose, simple and terrifically dry with a clean finish. good for the price, great with all kinds of goat cheeses.

Bold on the nose. Tastes of red pepper. Initially the taste wasn't to my liking, but it grows on you. Would be delicious with seafood and lighter fishes.

Light, fresh, and crisp, deep aromas of pineapple, melon and lemon zest, with a hint of cut grass. Mouthwatering acidity, tart, with a big flavour of lemon and citrus on the palate. Medium finish. The perfect accompaniment to shellfish or raw or seared tuna.
