The Cloudline Pinot Noir 2012 is a light to medium bodied wine. Cherry, raspberry, and earthiness. Tasted November 2016 (89/100)
Shelley Harris rated this wine as
87/100 with the following review:
A wine with distinct pepper and dark cherry aromas and a peppery taste would go well with barbequed chicken and burgers.
Martha Kelly AIWS rated this wine as
93/100 with the following review:
Elegant and complex, this new world Pinot Noir has ripe red fruit, over beet root, violet, cola, and an earthy complexity. The soft, ripe tannins and refreshing acidity carry the flavours through on the long refreshing finish.
Pair with charcuterie.
Drink now or cellar until 2020.
Date tasted: November 2014.
Astrid Young rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
At once earthy and savory, showing concentrated tomato and tomato leaf aromas, a hint of sweet beeswax and smoke. Full bodied for a PN and quite meaty up front, with an astringent acidity that first sweeps the palate with mineral, then delivers back dark fruit edged in a hint of creosote. Chewy tannins are ripe and balanced.
Tom Vigeant reviewed this wine as follows:
Earthy, peppery and slightly funky nose. Pleasant fruit on Palate but I find alcohol too present. Light to Medium body, very dry, particularly on the finish.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as
88/100 with the following review:
Dusty, cherry, soft floral notes invite you in for a sip. More bright cherry, cranberry, fresh acidity and soft tannins follow through. Savour this wine slowly - it grows on you! Best with grilled chicken.
Jane Staples rated this wine as
88/100 with the following review:
Cranberry and vanilla on the nose, followed by tart red berry fruit, vanilla, pepper and a hint of dark chocolate on the palate. Well-balanced with bright acidity. Lingering spice and mocha on the finish.
Heather Wall rated this wine as
87/100 with the following review:
Pale ruby with slow legs. Pretty perfume loft from the glass. Cherry, red berries, rose water, baking spices. This delicate Pinot is light-bodied with medium acidity. The floral component continues on the palate with a hint of sweetness on the medium length finish. A very elegant wine and easy sipping. Enjoy on it's own or a good accompaniment to poultry.
Tasted: November 2014
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as
88/100 with the following review:
Strawberry, young cherry, a little pepper and herbs in the aroma, and strqwberry and pepper in the taste. Acidic enough to pair with a darker green salad with strawberries and balsamic vinegar.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as
85/100 with the following review:
A nose predominant of cranberry, pepper and sour cherry. Medium acidity with low tannins. I would pair this with a goat cheese log topped with some cranberry jelly!
