Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as
91/100 with the following review:
Bold armoas of rich blackberry, smoke and vanilla. The palate offers the same with some tobacco and bit of spice. Overall a nice collage of flavors from the first taste to the lasting finish.
Rodney Busch reviewed this wine as follows:
Very good. Dark cherry w medium tannins.
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Deep ruby/purple, black currant, blackberry, dried green herb, flinty/smoky minerality, notes of toasty oak and leather/tobacco. Medium full body, a little chewy, good complexity, savoury with dark currant, smoky/tar, toasty, spice. Tannins are firm but balanced with rich fruit and acidity on the long warming finish with some herbaceousness. Decant at least an hour or two for this wine to open up and soften, showing more of the fruit and putting the smoky/herbaceousness in the background. On sale $3.00 off at LCBO until Nov 30, 2014 - this is great value at regular price and is worth considering a case at sale price to drink over the next 5-7 yrs with grilled steak or lamb stew.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as
91/100 with the following review:
Wow! Very impressive and intriguing nose of dark sweet fruit, smoke, rosemary, leather, cigar box, and vanilla. Big, bold, layerd. This is a delicious, complex Cabernet Sauvignon from a very old and well established Chilean winery, Errazuriz (est 1870). Perfectly balanced, the mouthfeel is also intriguing as the fruit, spice, acid and tannin come together to produce a fantastic wine that could easily sell for $35-$40, but it doesn't! Tasted November 2014. 91+ points. Matt Steeves - @QuercusVino
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as
88/100 with the following review:
Aromas of blackberry, cassis and spice. Same flavours come through on the palate with prominent tannins. Could use a bit of time to loosen up, but would stand up to red meats now.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
Subdued aromas of blackberry and mineral, with a bright blackberry and spice flavour that explodes in your mouth ... not in a bad way. Some grippy young tannins as well make this a wine that gets your attention taste-wise.

Errázuriz Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Aconcagua Valley, Chile: Very attractive fleshy blackberry on the nose, which is fresh and enticing without any heavy oak present. Balanced and layered on the palate, with a full-bodied weight and richness, but again not ponderous. Long finish. Superb value. Drink: 2014-2017. 335174 14% XD 750 mL $21.95 Score: 90/100.
