Darlene Myers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Sometimes I find myself guilty of re-discovering a country for wine, and sticking to that country for a couple of weeks. I recently went through an Australian phase. The Wakefield Shiraz was one of the new wines and the spiciness of the wine stood out for me. It was complex and well layered and the spice really comes alive on the palate. I work with someone who didn't like it for that reason, but I enjoyed the spice mixed with notes of chocolate and berry fruits. Well structured, it's a great wine for barbecue season which is just around the corner.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The wine is dark and brooding in its youth with aromas of violets, plum and dark cherry along with dusty oak derived spice and vanilla adding complexity. The palate is rich, luscious and round with intense, perfectly ripen fruit characters. Dark chocolate and vanilla characters complement the generous red berry flavours. The wine has a well balanced structure with great texture and surprising delicacy to the finish.

Le vin est sombre dans sa jeunesse avec des arômes de violettes, de prunes et de cerises noires avec une complexité d’épices et de vanille tirée du chene. Le palais est riche, luxueux et rond avec des caractcres intenses et parfaits de fruits mur

Louise Wilson rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Mouthwatering flavours of brambleberry, peppermint and a hint of cracked black pepper. Full bodied with well structured but approachable tannins and a long juicy finish. Pair with BBQ Pork ribs. Tasted Aug 2014.
