Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas are rich and include ripe blackberry and raspberry, cedar, spruce and dried herbs. On the palate the acidity is balanced, tannins are structured and there is a medium finish. Great go-to wine for red meats, prime rib or roasts.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Raspberry jam, vanilla, clove, a touch of wood smoke, make this fruit forward yet very dry Cabernet Sauvignon guaranteed to please any crowd. A great value priced gifting wine. Great on its own! Buy by the case to enjoy over the holidays. Tasted November 2014. 87 points. Matt Steeves - www.nataliemaclean.com
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Nov 16, 2014: Medium ruby/purple, nose showing candied violet, red berry and vanilla. Sweet entry on the palate, red current, sour cherry, vanilla, chocolate notes, tending toward bitter/stemmy on the finish. Good length. Made in a crowd pleasing style - good for holiday party on its own.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The Beringer Founders’ Estate Cabernet Sauvignon bursts with lush black fruit and intense cassis flavors that compliment the baking spice and vanilla aromas. Structured tannins and a long finish make this unmistakably a California Cabernet that can be enjoyed immediately. Pair this wine with anything from an elegant duck dish to hearty barbeque pork ribs – delicious.

Le Beringer Founders’ Estate Cabernet Sauvignon explose avec des saveurs riches de fruits noirs et de cassis intense qui complctent les arômes d’épices de cuisson et de vanille. Les tannins structurés et le fini long en font clairement un Cabernet

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A nose of plum and blackberry with hints of tart cherry, vanilla and hay. The flavours are dark cherry and plum. A very smooth wine with velvety mouth-feel. A great wine with roast beef.

Natalie's Review

Beringer Founders' Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, California, United States: Very tasty black cherry liqueur on the nose and palate, hedged by a cedar brush. Very supple and mouth-filling with terrific vibrancy. This will liven up dark meat dishes, or even those that tend to be chary or grilled a little too dry. Drink: 2013-2016. 534263 13.50% D 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 89/100. April 16, 2015 Best Value Red Wine.  Full Review
