Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of cassis, tobacco, cedar, graphite and leather. Full bodied, medium tannins, and a nice balance of dark fruit, spice and smoke on the palate. Lots of length on the finish. Enjoy with a rare steak.

A plush, evidently very ripe, even overripe right bank Bordeaux, with fruit beginning to shift into the baked/dried spectrum. There's a solid dose of clay-earth flavour, while tannins are still somewhat rough-and-tumble. But don't wait for this to soften up fully; enjoy while there's still some fruit left. Tasted June 2014. Value Rating: **

This is a quite rich and impressive merlot based classic Bordeaux from a mid-sized estate in St. Emilion. It nicely combines the herbs, earth and tobacco elements with some ripe raspberry-fig, fruit. The tannins are elevated and dry, the length is very good, but it lacks some depth after expectations from the quite intense nose. Give it another couple of years – it could live towards 2010. Tasted February 2013.

Produced with the help of a team of cutting edge wine consultants, Chateau Teyssier has a reputation for producing unique, distinctive reds. This examples is dense, velvety, a little volatile and bitter - lacking appeal at this stage. Notes of prune, dried fruit and pepper can be distinguished on the palate which is rather disjointed but with very good length. Needs time to come into its own. Tasted June 2014.

Here's a tasty, well-balanced and concentrated example of 2009 Bordeaux at an attractive price. Fruit is dark and ripe, wood is noted but integrated and high quality, and the overall structure bodes well for future development. Solid and firm, a smart buy. Tasted January 2013. Score - 90. Natalie's Review

Château Teyssier 2011, Montagne Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux A.C., France: A classic Bordeaux that superbly balanced and elegant. This 2011 vintage is under-priced and over-shadowed by the big 2010 vintage, so here's your bargain Bordeaux. Snap it up! Aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and smoke. Nice finish. Great with steak.
