Pale ruby in colour, this wine has flavours and aromas of strawberry jam, raspberry, red cherry, cinnamon and black pepper. The light body and soft tannins are balanced with refreshing acidity while the youthful flavours linger on the palate.
Drink now.
Enjoy with your favourite grilled seafood such as shrimp or calamari, and summer salads.
Date tasted: June 2014.

Medium aromas of raspberry, strawberry, and some underbrush (which reminds me of some 'old world wines' simular on the palate with a little plum added. Enjoy with bbq salmon steaks

I was pleasantly surprised with this wine. It is pale clear red and vibrant in the glass. The aromas are lovely raspberry, cranberry, white pepper and some floral notes. The body is light and the acidity is vibrant, making this a good food pairing wine. Would go nice with roasted herb chicken and potatoes, pizza, burgers, pasta with tomatoes, or lentil salad.

Pin cherries and cranberries with a slight new-leather aroma. Bright and tart--almost to a bitter finish--it would be a great compliment to the richness of lobster, or a fried calamari appetizer.

This very light pinot and st. Laurent blend is low in alcohol, so lighter body, with cranberry, cherry and vanilla aromas. Not overly complex but would be a nice pairing with trout or salmon on a cedar plank. Not off-dry but still some sweetness, that would contrast a spice infused rub.

June 22, 2014: Pale ruby, cranberry, cherry, allspice with a floral and vanilla notes. Medium light body, sour cherry, cranberry, strawberry flavors with light tannins and juicy acidity with a medium finish that turns slightly bitter. This would work well with cedar planked salmon with a salty herbed crust - 86+.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as
87/100 with the following review:
A pretty pale ruby wine with the aroma of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and a little new leather and vanilla. The taste and finish are not as sweet at the note would lead you to believe, adding tart cherry to the mix. Nice with a mixed fruit platter or soft cheeses.

A clear light garnet red wine with earthy, woodsy, red plum aromas. Palate shows tart red plums, earth and a hint of milk chocolate.

Harwood Estate Vineyard’s Admiral’s Blend is a delightful medium-bodied red wine with aromas of cherry, coffee and cardamom. As a blend of estate Pinot Noir and St. Laurent, it has a complex palate of Asian spice and chocolate. My favorite paring is with BBQ-grilled salmon, on a warm summer night.
