Monique Sosa rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

What an inviting nose! Strong dark berry fruit, vanilla, anise, cedar and hints of pepper. Very smooth and luscious on the palate. Soft tannins, balance acidity, medium-full bodied and long minty cassis dark chocolate finish. Like dark chocolate? I am convinced this wine would be amazing with dark chocolate.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Cassis on the nose and palate. The flavor adds vanilla, black cherry and some red licorice. The finish is long and velvety.
Valérie Dufour rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Spices and black current nose. Classic Cabernet sauvignon. Well-balanced. Enough matter to be interesting.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ripe cassis greets your nose. repeated on palate with a touch of vanilla, mint and licorice.
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

August 17, 2014: Deep ruby, cassis, dark berry, eucalyptus, dusty minerality and spice. Nice concentration, juicy berry and spice. Good balance and structure for aging - put some away for a few years and drink over the next 10-15 with grilled steak topped with a dollop of herb infused butter.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Black cheery, blackberry, cigar box, graphite, cassis, and more. Smooth, velvety, and deep, with a long black cherry finish, this is a wonderful wine on its own, for red meats, or with hard cheese. Did I mention it's great on its own?

Clean, classic, fresh and well-balanced example here again from the every-reliable Coonawarra estate of Wynns, with well-proportioned cassis and blackberry fruit layered over integrated oak spice. The palate is mid-weight, firm but ripe, with juicy acid and light but firm tannins. Excellent length, too. Nice wine here. Tasted August 2011. Value Rating: ***

Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Coonawarra, South Australia, Australia: Luscious and rich with cassis, fleshy blackberry and blackcurrant. Absolutely classic with a long finish. Tremendous quality for the price. There's some seductive anise and dark spice on the long finish. Liquid velvet.
