This reisling surprised me. Not as sweet as many of the same grape, this pale white is quite refreshing on the palate. With light notes of citrus this Gold Label wine would be great on it's own or paired with a lightly sauced fish dish. I will be sipping this delicious white on a patio this summer! The wine was "Gold" in my books! Bright, clear and very fresh - a fine dry Riesling with floral, powder and citrus notes and a finish that goes on and on.
Terry Jeans rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Australia is not really known for producing Riesling, but this is a good example of how it can be made in a dry style from their cooler regions. Zippy and aromatic, this wine is medium-bodied, full of acidity and very food friendly. This would go extremely well with a cheese fondue.

March 3, 2015: The grapes for this wine are sourced from the Clare and Eden Valleys, with Eden Valley providing more floral and Clare Valley more citrus. Pale yellow with a nose of citrus, green apple, mineral and petrol notes. Mouthwatering acidity, good purity of fruit with apple and lemon citrus. Light and zesty with a clean finish.

The Wolf Blass Golf Label Riesling 2013 is great tasting wine. On the nose it features beautiful floral, lemon and mineral notes. This Riesling doesn’t disappoint on the palate. Nice refreshing citrus fruit with some minerality. Pairs well with a simple salad or your favourite seafood dish. Tasted March 3, 2015. (89/100)

Australia produces some of the finest Riesling in the world. The Wolf Blass Gold Label 2013 shows lovely honey, sweet blossoms, yellow apple, slight petrol, and butter. A crisp wine, with a mineral and green apple finish. No oak treatment allows the purity of the fruit to shine, making this a terrific food friendly wine that I'd enjoy with Asian cuisine, summer salads, and best of all, fresh seafood. Tasted March 2015. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Peach, pear, bruised golden delicious apple with smoky minerality on the nose. Petrol is present up front with citrus and cut grass emerging.
Pithy citrus, stony minerality on the palate.
Medium body, medium acidity, crisp mouthfeel with some warming sensation.
Petrol and lemon, lime on the finish.
Refreshing

Aromas of stonefruit, white flowers, lemon and lime, with a good dose of the characteristic Reisling petrol aroma. The taste follows with the addition of a touch of peach. Juicy fruit tones, plus great acidity. This paired very well with a simple green salad with oil and vinegar.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Bright aromas of melon, citrus fruit along with floral and grassy notes present on the nose of this lovely dry Riesling. Citrus comes through prominently on the palate, but at the same time also seems delicate, and balanced, with crisp acidity. Beautiful wine, would be fabulous with a variety of seafood dishes.

This wine touts some impressive aromatics! Sweet nectar, honey blossoms, fresh stone fruit and a touch of minerality linger on the nose. As for the palate; lemony lime galore! This Riesling is bone dry! Light bodied, crisp, refreshing mouthfeel a little chewy texture. Pair this guy with anything! Salads, cream based soups, fresh goat cheese, and crispy lightly fried shell fish.

This pale yellow wine has fresh aromas of grass and summer. It is not a sweet Riesling and tastes of citrus and kiwi. It would be delicious with seafood.

Wolf Blass Gold Label Riesling 2013, Australia: This gorgeous Australian riesling is all about freshness, brightness and fruit purity. It's bone-dry, mouth-watering and ready for so many dishes. Did you know that 99% of Australian rieslings are dry? While winemakers tried to make off-dry, and even sweet versions, they didn't work in the market with consumers who had grown to love dry styles of wine. The Riesling grapes for this wine are sourced both from the Eden Valley, which tends to lend aromas of lavender and other florals, and from the Clare Valley, which imparts more lime citrus notes. Fruit freshness is preserved with a cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks with only a very small less contact for some mouth-feel. As winemaker Chris Hatch says, Riesling is a winemaker's wine. This wine will age well, but why wait? It's ready to drink now with fresh halibut. Drink: 2013-2019. 98137333498 11.50% D 750 mL $20.95 Score: 91/100. March 4, 2015 Top Rated White Wine.
