Paul Burt rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Another Super One selection and for the area and the population it serves it will sit well for Italian night pasta feeds. Just a little zest to the cherry and blueberry fruit with earth and spice for accent. The body is sort of lithe - and the aftertaste is extremely short - which makes you want another. Drink now
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

The 2014 vintage Ruffino Chianti is ruby red and 12.5% ABV. This wine offers a classic Sangiovese dominant expression of an old world wine at an accessible price point. On the nose, this wine offers aromatics of cherry, roasted tomato, and secondary notes of tomato leaf, thyme, leather, and sandalwood. On the palate, a rustic expression of red currant, black cherry, leather, black pepper and a hint of clove. High acidity, dry, medium tannins, medium fruit and medium bodied, this Chianti is well balanced and a fantastic companion with tomato-based classic Italian pasta dishes. Enjoy 2015-2018.

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Cherry, herb notes and a strong mushroom overtone. Bright acidity but enough fruit to keep it down to earth. Great with bruschetta. Good value chianti
Reese Smilski reviewed this wine as follows:

Gift from Kennedy's.
THIS is a lasagne wine, or any pasta with sausage wine.
Any time now.
Nick Onischuk rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a classic Chianti featuring aromas of red cherry, plum, spice and with good fruit and tannins on the palate. The combination of the tomato sauce and meatballs made this pairing a real winner. Tasted October 19, 2013 (89/100)
Malcolm Lamont rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ruby red in colour, this wine exhibits a very attractive nose of red cherry, dark fruit, and some hints of earthiness.

Good varietal character on the palate, that is, it showed it is in the chianti style - Fruit forward, good acidity, and some structural support from the tannins.

This wine is a knock outta the park with the food pairing of Italian meatballs with tomato sauce.

Tasted October 2013
Valérie Dufour rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a blockbuster for a reason: vintage after vintage the wine quality is consistent. It is a very fruity and exuberant wine. A very good wine at this price range that is a perfect companion for pizza or pasta with tomato sauce.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Cherries, tobacco, and cracked white pepper. Easy drinking, always consistent. 86 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
