Mouthfeel-rather oily, tannic
Finish-medium length, strong spicy
Corinne rated this wine as 85/100
Lesley Quinn rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A big bold high intensity wine, with black licorice and blueberry flavours. There is some vanilla and chocolate notes from the time spent in oak, and some incredible tannins on the finish. This wine is so full bodied it demands a big meal like a Rib Eye in a port demi glaze. The 19 crimes refers to the time in England when any who broke this set of 19 crimes could face deportation to Australia. One of which included "Do Not Impersonate an Egyptian"! I love when you can learn a little something while enjoying a great wine.

Natalie's Review

19 Crimes Shiraz Durif 2013, Australia: A full-bodied red wine that's a blend of shiraz and durif grapes. Aromas and flavours of cassis, wildberry and blackcurrant. Rugged (you'd expect such) so decant for 1 hour, but keep an eye on that bottle. Drink: 2013-2018. 200717 13% D 750 mL  $19.99 Score: 89/100. November 9, 2013 Best Value Red Wine.  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
