This dry mid-bodied Valpolicella 2012 was OK. I wasn't wowed by this bottle although it was still good. I'm a Valpolicella lover, this bottle didn't made it to my top 10. I'm suggesting to keep it in your cellar for couple of years and try it again. I'm scoring this bottle an 82 but hoping that it will improve in the cellar. I'll definitely will give this one another try.

excellent value. enjoyed with steak.
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2011 Tommasi Il Sestante Ripasso Superiore has intense aromas of pine and slightly stewed black cherry and blackberry. It is a medium to full bodied, dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, refined tannins (decant for 15-30 min) and a smooth finish of medium length. Drink with food or sip on its own; drink now – 2018. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts. Tasted Nov/13.

Il Sestante I Pianeti Valpolicella Ripasso 2011, D.O.C., Italy: Dark cherry and some mocha on the nose. Full-bodied and smooth. Over-priced by $5, but it's quaffable, especially with pizza.
