My absolute favourite
Irina Omari rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very rich chardonnay.Full body, beautiful colour. The way chardonnay should be. It is an easy version for any consumer to understand the chardonnay and I always recommend it for people who don't know this type of wine. It has a nice amount of oak, richness, good flavours or butterscotch, vanilla, fruity notes. And good long finish. Terrific wine for the price.
Sara M reviewed this wine as follows:

A well-structured Chardonnay with a bountiful bouquet of lemon, butter and toast. Full-bodied and smooth, with a long finish. Pairs well with smoked chicken, pork tenderloin or sipping by the fire on a cold winter's night!
Heather Wall rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

No apologies for this full-on California chardonnay. Beautiful, brilliant golden yellow. Medium body. Luscious and ripe tropical fruit, vanilla, toast with butter, peach, citrus and blossoms. I get all of this on the nose and the palate.
I prefer medium body chardonnay like Toasted Head a little less chilled. I feel the nuances in the wine come a little more to life. Enjoyed with double cream brie but I've also enjoyed with Coconut Cream pie. Decadent!
Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Toasted Head is named for the toasting of barrel heads that makes a wine taste...um...toasted. The fire-breathing bear on label was inspired by the William Carpenter poem Speaking Fire At Stones in which "Every one of these stones contains a bear. You just have to burn it free." The owners of Toasted Head winery have a gift for metaphor and read poetry--the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals are impressed. If it were a poem, Toasted Head Chardonnay would be a decent love sonnet that butters you up, but not too much. We'll definitely follow Darlene Myers' advice and sample the poetry of Toasted Head Cabernet Sauvignon.
Darlene Myers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I used to be an all Red wine drinker, until I tried this wine and one other. This was how I discovered how wonderful white wines can be as well. Anyone who knows me, know I rave about the Toasted Head Cabernet Sauvignon, and I enjoy it on a regular basis. This is another Toasted Head that I can't stop raving about. Smooth like butter is what comes to mind. Smooth and with tastes of vanilla and the toasty oak that this brand is known for. I think it adds scrumptious flavour when a vineyard toasts the barrel staves to impart that mellow toasty flavour.

Natalie's Review

Toasted Head Chardonnay 2011, California, United States: A lusciously rich and full-bodied white with enticing aromas of butterscotch, peach and pear. Generously oaked, but it's in balance and creates a terrific voluptuous mouth-feel. Perfect for roast chicken or corn on the cob. Drink: 2012-2014. 594341 13.50% D 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 88/100.
