This is a sparkling wine from the Loire Valley, a blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc, produced using the traditional method. Lots of good bubbles, dry. with a nice honeyed nose of citrus, lime, white floral, nectarine and a hint of strawberries. Great with hard goat cheese, triple cream Brie, strawberries and crisp orange tortas (Ines Rosales Orange from Spain, purchased at FarmBoy). The orange tortas enhanced the citrus and fruit flavours wonderfully. A versatile wine.

Uber floral and refreshing. Crisp tangy notes of apple, lemon, and underripe peach dominate the palate. It's an easy drinking, light bodied, patio sipper kind of wine at a great price point. Enjoy with crispy baja fish tacos. Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca

A refreshing, zippy brut which is designed for pleasure. Tight bubbles, great acidity, a brilliant platinum sparkling non-vintage brut. Green apple, lime zest aromatics. A crowd pleaser offering great value. Great for seasonal festivities. Pairs well with turkey dinner, appetizers, brunch or on its own. Tasted Nov 2016 - rated 88 / 100

Very soft and pretty sparkling. White grapefruit, lemon, sea salt, orange blossom water and sweet cream. Fine mousse. Sweeter than expected in the mouth; lemon cream.
Pair with: starter salad of arugala, avocado, citrus and feta.

Great price point for a sparkling wine from France. Toast, red apple, apricot on the nose with toast and apple on the palate. Vibrant and enjoyable. Tasted April 3rd, 2016.

Intriguing mineral, honeyed, apricot and autolytic notes on the nose. Fine, persistent mousse. Creamy and layered with sweet, honeyed fruit lingering on the finish. A great value alternative to pricier bubbles.

Nice bubbly from the Loire area. Chenin blanc dominant with cab franc and Chardonnay. Nice aromas of croissant and green apple. Great sparkling wine. A little short but at that price... I had it with lucky lime oysters from PEI and it was delicious.

Chateau de Montgueret Cremant De Loire Brut, Loire, France: Floral, lime blossom, pretty: lots of acidity for food, medium-bodied. This isn't Champagne, but is made using the same methods of production with a second fermentation in the bottle to trap the bubbles, and based on Chardonnay grapes. Pair with fried chicken. Drink: 2022-2025. 217760 12% D 750 mL $20.95 Score: 90/100. June 29, 2022 Top Rated Sparkling Wine. Full Review
