Maud Boulton reviewed this wine as follows:

Carinena, the largest and oldest of the Aragonese D.O.s, is one of Spain's earliest areas to be demarcated in 1932. It has given its name to the grape of the same name, called the Mazuelo elsewhere in northern Spain and the Carignan in France. The last decade has seen fast development thanks to fusions between small bodegas and cooperatives and the reshaping of wines to modern tastes. The wines have become bigger and bolder and the reds have the characteristic style of Garnacha wines made in hot climates and the 5% Carinena grapes added to these for long ageing help add staying power.

Beso de Vino Seleccion is a blend of 85% Syrah and 15% Garnacha aged for 3 months in French oak. Black cherry and blueberry aromas lead to a dense, plush, savoury wine which finishes with no hard edges. It is shockingly good for the money.
rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Exceptional concentration, rich and savoury with blueberry, black fruits and an incredibly long finish. Go Spain!
Holly Bruns rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

A blend of Grenache and Syrah so what's in the glass is quite fruity in a dark plum kind of way with some sweeter overtones of vanilla and liquorice. The fuller body of the wine gets tempered with soft tannins from the Syrah. Overall it's an easy drinking bottle with not such a long finish of dark fruit and leather.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
