Jon Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Robust, old world charm on this beautiful Grand Cru. On the nose, showing blackberry, cassis, bright floral notes, with earthy underbrush. On the palate, brambly blackberry, dark chocolate. Big mouthwatering acidity, chewy medium plus integrating tannins. Full bodied. Tasted 2008 decanted 3h, in March 2018. Paired well with gourmet BBQ beef burgers. 91 points
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This Grand Cru from the Right Bank of the famous Bordeaux region in France is loaded with big ripe dark berry-fruit, vanilla, and mouthwatering charcoal-grilled beef. The aromas remind me of a charcoal roasted beef tenderloin with hollandaise sauce I enjoyed in Kelowna, BC a few years back. This is a well structured wine, with great acidity and mouth-coating tannins that helps support the beautiful layers of dark fruits, chocolate, and charcoal grilled peppers. Chateau Pipeau 2008 is drinking great now and should for another 5+ years, but why wait! Drink 2015-2022. Tasted January 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - @QuercusVino

Natalie's Review

Château Pipeau Meritage 2008, Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux A.C., France: Stunning, especially for this price point! A superb cellar-dweller. Bring it out when it's ready to shine in a couple of years with that juicy filet mignon. Beautifully structured with black fruit and smoke, full-bodied weight with elegance. Drink: 2011-2018. 302018 13% XD 750 mL  $45.95 Score: 92/100. October 15, 2011 Top Rated Red Wine.  Full Review

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
