I am a very parochial Wine Lover because I live in South Australia where Australia's best wines come from, most years. We have warm climate areas, cool ones and cold ones - Shiraz/Syrah will not ripen in parts of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region because it is too cold for it. And Coonawarra is Saint Mary MacKillop country, the locals call it "God's Own Country" and having lived 6 kilometres from there, in the 1980s, I am inclined to agree, apart from their freezing Winters.
