Toasty and vibrant with green apple. Zesty refreshment. The winery sources the grapes for this fine Chardonnay-based sparkler throughout New Zealand and they use the Charmat method to preserve its vibrant fruit freshness. Clink!

Sparkling food pairings: grilled calamari, oysters, pan-seared scallops, squash soup, pork spare ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Bright and acidic with flavours of lime and green apple, and just a touch of bread-iness on the nose. Great with green salads!
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Creamy pear, granny smith apple, a good dose of toasty oak and some salinity. Not too much acidity, but enough. Pair with cheeses... Smoked Gouda?
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Pale gold with fine mouse, this sparkler had a nose of pear, honey, citrus and apple. Aggressive mousse, and a kiss of sweetness to the pear and apple. A good companion to sushi. Feb 1, 2015
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Pear, green apple, lime on the nose
Loads of apple on the palate, lemon/lime zest, slightly bitter finish.

Big, meaty green Sicilian olives with lemon zest
Oyster Bay's well-priced brut plays on the tangy side, with lots of tropical and citrus fruit in the foreground and whispers of bread dough and mineral in the background. It's a fine effort for a wine made using pressurized tanks to generate the bubbles (as opposed to the more involved bottle-fermented Champagne method). Score – 89.
