Love the spicy, fine herb and floral nose on Zorzal's Eggo 2018 Cabernet Franc with lots of pepper spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine and balanced. This Cab Franc was aged just under one year in concrete eggs. Drink or hold.

Cabernet Franc food pairings: crown roast of pork, slow-braised lamb shanks in red wine, grilled venison steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From the Mendoza region in Argentina, the EGGO Franco 2018 by Zorzal offers aromas of sour cherry, red plum, jalapeno, wet gravel, cocoa and cola. This Cabernet Franc shows a full body, slick acidity, soft tannins and a medium finish, with flavors of tart plum, sour cherry, licorice, coffee, spice and cocoa. Enjoy.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is a beautiful Cabernet Franc, rich and spicy while maintaining a lovely freshness. Aromas of plums, black pepper, violets, cedar and a wet stone hint. Medium-full bodied with slight tannins, vibrant and mouthwatering acidity, and lots of warm spicy flavours on the palate, along with a smoky, spicy finish. Lovely! Enjoy with grilled beef kebabs.
