The Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache wine grapes for Zonte's Footstep, Scarlet Ladybird were sourced from a single site vineyard. The Scarlet Ladybird refers to the Ladybugs that prey on vineyard pests like aphids. Lovely pink with coral hues in the glass, ripe raspberry, soft citrus aromas on the nose with ripe strawberry, raspberry and light savoury herbs finishing long and with zesty acidity on the palate.

Rosé food pairings: veal Masala, veal and ham casserole, veal breast with herb stuffing.

From Fleurieu, South Australia, Zonte's Footstep Scarlet Ladybird 2018. Great value under $16 on this homage to the humble Scarlet Ladybird, predators of vineyard pests like aphids. Rose petal and soft orange aromas on the nose with strawberries, red berry fruit, soft citrus flavours delivered on a creamy palate on this made-for-a-picnic wine. Pair with charcuterie and creamy cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
