Reviews and Ratings

Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Elegant and balanced with well judged oak usage. Aromas of sweet raspberry, blackberry, cherry, a bit of prune, along with toasted coconut, anise, tobacco, dark chocolate, green olive, and leather. A bit less complex on the palate, with lots of pure red fruit supported by some dark chocolate and spices. A bit over medium bodied, with medium high acidity and well integrated, moderate tannins. Smooth mouthfeel, good length.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely notes of dark berries, leather, and dark chocolate. The palate shows flavors of blackberries, cherry, and spices. Medium bodied, notable tannins.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
