Pleasantly tart black cherry liqueur. Rich and full-bodied with a bite. Definitely your vino for watching The Godfather. Would you like a few more clichés?

Mark Britton rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A nice Amarone but Zeni makes many which are better. The alcohol is a bit strong on this particular wine. Very good wine though probably not worth the price point and Zeni is capable of much more.
Gabriel Israel reviewed this wine as follows:

Had a few outstanding Amarone in my life. The challenge with this wine is two fold - $$$ and food pairing.
When it comes to $$$ - this wine is relatively reasonably priced (again, relatively) for the quality that you get.
When it comes to food pairing - forget the 'regular' food - any 'regular' food will be 'crashed' under the mighty Amarone. So the basic principal of powerful food goes well with powerful wine very much apply here. Try it with a well seasoned couscous or with osso bucco marinated in port.
We tasted many wines and the one we enjoyed most was the ’06 Amarone Vigne Alte, with intensely sun-ripe, well-defined fruit. The palate is firm-bodied with distinctive, pleasantly husky tannins. Score: 2 Glasses (out of 3) Source: Gambero Rosso Italian Wines
