Natalie's Score: 87/100

A sweet plummy rich Italian red wine made using the traditional Appassimento method of drying grapes on straw mats before fermentation to add colour, concentration, alcohol and depth. Smooth with sweet cherries on the finish. This is a blend of indigenous grapes to the Veneto region and international grapes. Pair with spicy dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Grapes for this wine were partially pressed prior to pressing, using the method
"Appassimento Partiale" resulting in a more aromatic and flavourful wine. Shows fragrant ripe cherry, vanilla and toasty oak on nose and palate, a lovely example of this Veneto style. Simple but very pleasant wine, excellent for pasta arrabiata dishes. Excellent value.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Awesome value! Aromas showcase mild to moderate red plum, dates, and savoury spice. The palate is smooth showing ripe concentrated berry notes, tangy pomegranate flavours, mild spice notes and finishing with a long sweet cedar cigar box note. A medium bodied pasta wine for sure!
