Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A comparison to the 2013 vintage. Young & Wyses’ Zinfandel from BC’s Osoyoos region. Jammy, smoky and peppery with cassis, red currants, brambles, and fresh baked cherry pie! A touch of cigar box and dates also featured. Flavours are distinctly different from the aromas. Very fruit forward with high acidity, a full body and a soft tannic structure. Intensely dry and tart. This would make a nice accompaniment to pork chops or warm pasta dishes with tomatoes based sauces. - tasted July 2018
Mari Kane reviewed this wine as follows:

This wine is deep colored with purple edges and has aromas of licorice and briary fruit. In the mouth there’s a mix of bright red fruit and big plum flavors, plus spices and black pepper. It’s a bit angular in structure, and lots of good acidity make it quite juicy. The finish is long and dry with bright fruit lingering. Somewhat syrah like in its plumminess, it paired nicely with lamb and chicken kabobs.
