Lovely savoury bite on this Australian icon red wine. Elegant, refined and balanced like Sue herself. Classic cassis and blackberry fruit. Full-bodied and smooth. Long finish. Pair with rare cuts of meat.

Cabernet Shiraz Merlot food pairings: short ribs on the bbq, beef enchiladas, stuffed beef flank steak with minced pork mushrooms and garlic, steak Diane.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A delightful Cab Sauv blend from Limestone Coast, Coonawarra, South Australia. A delicious nose with bright cassis, blackberry, strawberry, vanilla and mocha continues to play out on the palate with mint and herbal touches, with more mocha developing. Extra-dry, satiny, sensuous, with an elegant mocha finish. Heavenly with classic beef favourites.
Tasted April 2016
A classic Australian red wine blend from Wynn of cool climate Coonawarra region grapes: Cabernet, Shiraz and Merlot. This estate was founded by viticultural pioneer John Riddoch who planted vineyards in 1891 and completed the winery's gabled building in 1896. - Community Wine Review
