A superb BC Syrah with aromas of dark spice, black fruit and meaty notes of bacon. Full-bodied, balanced and smooth. Perfect for grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Julian Park rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A juicy, luscious, full-bodied BC Syrah that is deep garnet in colour. Decanting is strongly recommended as it will open to beautiful aromas full of black fruit, black liquorice, cured meat, and black pepper.

On the palate, the vibrant wine features ripe plum and blackberries, spice, and roasted beets. Medium-full bodied and silky smooth with fine-grained tannins and spicy black fruit persisting on the refreshing finish.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Rich and full of flavour. Aromas of plum, blackberries, vanilla, warm spice and a slight savoury hint. Full bodied on the palate, with soft tannins, bright acidity, and plush, ripe fruit notes. The savoury and vanilla hints carry through on a lengthy finish. Enjoy with a perfectly grilled steak or robust mushroom dishes.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Winemaker's Cut Syrah is sourced from estate vineyards in the heart of the southern Okanagan Valley. Deeply coloured, the nose shows spicy dark fruits, black pepper, smoky bacon, and sweet clove. The palate offers fleshy black berries, spice, pepper, and flinty minerality. Medium-full bodied, it's silky smooth with very fine-grained tannins and spicy black fruit on the refreshing finish. Enjoy 2020-2026. Tasted August 2020. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
