Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Winemaker's Cut Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Deadman Lake Vineyard located between Canada's wine capital, Oliver, BC, and Osoyoos, BC, at the southern end of Canada's pocket desert, the Okanagan Valley. The south of the Okanagan Valley is renowned for producing big, ripe, and beautifully balanced reds, and where big reds shine often Sauvignon Blanc shines too, and Winemaker's Cut Sauvignon Blanc is a terrific example of that, and a fantastic expression of southern Okanagan Sauvignon Blanc. Ripe and luscious, with sweet orchard and stone fruits mingling along exotic guava, citrus, and lemon grass notes making the bouquet very expressive, complex, and inviting. Beautifully balanced, with a texture that’s both creamy and refreshing, this Sauvignon Blanc has it all making it a terrific choice to pair with a wide range of dishes from grilled fish, spicy Asian cuisine, summer salads, or lighter BBQ fare. One of the finest Sauvignon Blanc expressions I've tasted in the Okanagan - This is an absolute must try! Tasted June 2018. 92+ points. Matt Steeves – www.quercusvino.ca
Julian Park rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

2017 was a vintage with mixed expectations. An early and very humid Spring jumped into a super hot and humid first week of Summer and then the never-ending smoke that blocked the sun. Fall was nice and cool and the harvest showed us that 2017 was a great year for wine in Okanagan.

Hand harvested September 24, 2017, at 3 tons per acre and 23.2 Brix.  Cold soaked and cold fermented in stainless steel with only 20% in Slovakian barrels.  Gently pressed and aged in 20% oak.

Technical Data: Alcohol 13%, 3.25 Ph, 8.2 TA, 5.7 RS

Light lemon in colour.  Aromas of citrus, stone fruit, lemon zest, and tropical fruit.  On the palate lemon, lime, pineapple and kiwi fruit with a dry, crisp minerality leading to a lingering long finish.  A fruit-forward style wine that is great with seafood or standalone.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lovely! This wine combines what you might expect from a cooler climate along with a more warm climate Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of pineapple and mango along with lemongrass and fresh green herbs. Light on the palate with a creaminess to the texture that is balanced nicely with some mouthwatering acidity and virbrant bright citrus and tropical fruit. Enjoy with rich seafood dishes such as pan seared scallops.
