This is a stunning crafted Sauvignon Blanc from the little appellation of Saint Bris. No oak and very refreshing. There's only the one producer of this wine in Saint-Bris and not far from Chablis. Look for soft tropical fruit, white currant, gooseberry and lemon zest flavours finishing crisp and clean on the palate. Pair with pan-fried oysters on toast.

Food pairings: ratatouille, grilled white fish with a lemon-dill sauce, squash soup, salad.

Reviews and Ratings

From William Fèvre Saint-Bris 2017 is a Sauvignon Blanc Beauty amongst the Chardonnay vines in this tiny and only Burgundy appellation allowed to make Sauvignon Blanc. Doesn't get any cleaner, leaner and vibrant than this. Fragrant with light green herbs, fresh hay, gooseberry and lemon juice aromas on the nose. Brilliantly balanced with great acidity for food. Finishes long with lemon zest and briny mineral flavours on the palate. Love it with fresh, raw oysters, but would work as well with grilled shellfish. - Community Wine Reviews
