Reviews and Ratings

Neil Phillips rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Nose of blueberry, bramble, raspberry, blackberry, alcohol.

High acid with notes of savoury plum chutney with medium body and medium+ length. An almost off-dry feeling with residual sugar.

An easy-drinking California Zin in a popular style.

Tasted October 2018.
Wente's Beyer Ranch 2014 is a juicy 80% Zinfandel and 20% Petite Sirah from the Livermore Valley in California. This year marks the 135th anniversary of Wente Vineyards, now the oldest family-operated winery in the United States. The wine was partially fermented in stainless steel and oak giving a bright freshness of crushed raspberry, black and red berry flavours to the wine with good structure and body. Enjoy now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews
