A good-value zesty and dry Rheingau Riesling with petrol, lemony and mineral aromas on the nose. Fantastic acidity for rich and creamy dishes and fatty smoked fish. Look for white-fleshed stone fruit, lemon, lime zest and fresh mineral flavours on the palate.

Riesling food pairings: duck liver pate, pork tenderloin, turkey breast, feta cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A bright and fresh Riesling with notes of fresh peaches and grilled pear. A lovely creaminess on the palate reminiscent of mango fool. Excellent body and a long finish that ends in creamy lemons. Try with grilled squid with green chilli and lime and a green mango salad. @wrightwineblog
Volratz Riesling 2017 is a trocken Rheingau Qualitätswein with laser acidity for any rich dish. Lively lemon zest and petrol aromas on the nose, liquid lemon sunshine on the palate with mineral, wet stone and white grapefruit flavours on the finish. Chill and enjoy with grilled pork chops, sausages and kraut. - Community Wine Reviews
