Natalie's Score: 84/100

A surprisingly rich and full-bodied red wine for one that's marketed as low-calorie (80 calories per 125 ml glass) and has only 10.3% alcohol. This is Canada's only VQA designated low-cal wine. This is a blend of a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. Pair with meeting your goals at Weight Watchers.

Reviews and Ratings

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Pleasantly surprised at this pretty wine that is marketed as low calorie (80 calories per 125 ml, or 1/6th of the bottle). So, 160 calories per 1/3rd of the bottle (a little closer to how much I would drink). Or 240 calories if you split the bottle.

I digress... The wine has a pretty aroma of fresh raspberries and violets with a bit of pepperiness. Palate is fresh and fruity, with a touch of greenness. It has a medium body, which is more than expected for a wine marketed as low calorie. It also has a low alcohol at 10.3%, so it's a great choice for a casual/everyday wine, whether you are watching your calories or not.
