Beautifully balanced Niagara Chardonnay. Aromas of green apple and subtle baked bread. Mouth-filling but not heavy. Pair with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: foods that are rich and full of flavour, such as lobster dripping in butter, grilled tuna, or salmon, pasta in a rich cream sauce, roast turkey, or marinated chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Vintage Ink's 2014 Chardonnay has a great balance of tropical and citrus fruit, baked bread, baking spices, and subtle oak influence that produces a creamy and refreshing wine that's well suited for enjoyment with dishes like penne with shrimp and herbed cream sauce, or creamy saffron and seafood fettuccine. It's also delicious when served chilled out of a S'Well thermos to complement a picnic with some grilled chicken and avocado sandwiches. Tasted June 2016. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Vintage Ink Wines Rite of Passage Chardonnay 2014 features aromas and flavours of tropical fruit, pear, apple, buttery bread. Tasted October 2016 (87/100)
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Big whiff of peach and melon followed by yellow apple and citrus; more of the citrus plays out on the palate. Light bodied with sharp acidity and short finish with a hint of bitterness. Try it with seared scallops.
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Clear yellow color with notes of peach, pear, lily flower and herb.

This Chardonnay is zesty, medium-bodied and long.

Excellent to match quail.

Serve it at 10-12 degrees.

Enjoyable now but can be aged 2-3 years.
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Like my colleague Philippe, i found heady notes of flowers, like peony and, canned peaches and buttered popcorn. The mouthfeel is quite creamy and bitter. Not sweet at all, despite its fruity aromas.I'd like it with a coconut milk curry sauce dish, or with langoustines.
