Ribero del Duero is famous for red wines. This is 100% Tempranillo and is dark and savoury with lovely dark chocolate notes on the top. Underneath is fleshy dark fruit, especially plums. Full-bodied, smooth and satisfying.

Tempranillo food pairings: lamb breast stuffed with veal pork and green herbs, spinach cake.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A pretty hefty, yet suave red. This is 100% Tinto Fino (more commonly called Tempranillo).
Deeply coloured - inky purple. Aromas are floral and firm. Decanting is recommended.
Plenty of chocolate, smoke, game meat, cherries, and a touch of mint.
At one time, it was controversial for Ribera del Duero wineries to use only Tempranillo instead of blending it with Bordelais grapes (Cab, Merlot, etc...). This wine does just fine with Tinto Fino on its own. A smart choice for a BBQ, or pair it with lamb or veal.
Jean Francois reviewed this wine as follows:
