Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Wow! Try to find a Chilean Carmenère in the Vintages section of the LCBO! Cab Sauv, Cab Sauv...Cab Sauv. What's with Chile? There were two Carms. Disregard the tasting note on the back of the label (Pineapple, guava, apple)? Really? NOT! This deep, opaque, purple-y, garnet gem offers up generous aromas of fine pipe tobacco, oak, chocolately moka and ripe dark cherry. These aromas are replayed on the palate. This a dry, fruity full-bodied wine sporting medium-acidity, integrated tannins and a medium length finish. A fine pairing with a charcuterie plate or a red meat dish of your choice.
Great value for the price on this rounded and mouth-filling Chilean Carmenere from the Central Valley. Vina Marty Pirca Gran Reserva (2014) is so named after the traditional Chilean wall surrounding a property called a Pirca: Pirca is the name given to the method of building a wall by stacking stones found in the surrounding area as was employed by the Inca Civilization. - Community Wine Reviews
