Viña Cobos Felino 2016 is a medium-plus-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mendoza wine region with red berries, blackcurrant, green herbs, green olives and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine and there is great acidity on this Cab Sauv. for food. Pair with old cheddar, tourtière or Shepard’s Pie. Produced by Paul Hobbs.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: barbecued steaks, roast leg of lamb, gourmet burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

BJ Oudman rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The character of Cabernet Sauvignon is unmistakable on the nose, promising the contents of the glass to carry some weight on the palate. It delivers with a full body and definite presence of tannins carrying it along for a sustained finish. Dark red fruit and subtle spice mingle with cacao in a concentrated expression value red. Perfect accompaniment to a juicy burger.
From Paul Hobbs Viña Cobos Felino 2016 is a fantastic value, medium-plus-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mendoza. This Argentine red wine is rich, inviting and layered, like great conversation. Pleasantly aromatic with red berries, blackcurrant, green herbs, green olives and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine and there is great acidity on this Cab Sauv. for food. Pair with old cheddar, tourtière or Shepard’s Pie. - Community Wine Reviews
