Mature aromas of tanned leather, cigar box, dried herbs and prunes. Very attractive Bordeaux from a spectacular vintage. Ready to enjoy now, though it may last a few more years in the cellar. Well-priced. Pair with prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A 2000 Lalande-de-Pomerol for under $30! How could you not buy some. Opaque with a brick rim, the density of this concentrated wine is phenonomal! Dried dark fruits, balsamic, mushroom, old wood, spice and leather. The palate is bone dry with big integrated tannins. The rich fruit has evolved into dried fruit, mushroom, earthy and rustic notes. A nice example of aged Bordeaux at a value price that you can't pass up. Give it a try. Tasted September 2015. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Brought to us by G. Arpin, Proprietor, this Bordeaux red wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, among others, from the spectacular 2000 vintage which is still drinking nicely. - Community Wine Reviews
