Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This bright ruby red wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo fruit, hand-harvested within the Barolo region on 35 year old vines. Old world in style, dark densely concentrated cherry, leather, tobacco leaf, baking spice, savoury herb aromatics and palate. Tart, lip smacking yummy. Full-bodied and carries through to a long finish with persistence of red fruit and leather. Mid priced and great value at $37 in 2016 for the 2012 vintage. Perfect pairing for a porcini mushroom risotto. @jonsteeves rated 91/100 tasted @VanWineFest 2016

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
