Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a pretty smoking value for a Niagara Cab Sauvv from one of the most rewarding vintages Niagara has seen in some time.
Clean, with no real dropped sediment, as far as could be seen. Dark ruby, with surprisingly little bricking.
Aromas of sage, blackberry, raspberry and cherry
Spice and smokey oak. A slightly mushroom/truffle note emerged after some time in the glass.
Perfectly preserved Niagara wine from the rich clay of Vinemount Ridge. This is one of the few Niagara areas with the orientation and a slightly longer season- good for ripening a late harvesting grape, like Cab.
You taste that on this wine. Great red and black ripeness with good purity and no overtly green notes. Some leather, rubber, and pepper give it savoury complexity. As wines age, flavours meld and that is happening here. Don't keep it too much longer, but such a nice experience.
Vieni, as a producer, grow some wacky varietals (like Aglianico) that nobody else has had the guts to try... Yet!

Randy likes this winery, me not so much
