Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Crafted by Maison Veuve Ambal, the winery that has been growing grapes on the finest Burgundian terroir since 1898. This lovely sparkler is vinified in the Traditional Method from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a touch of Aligoté and Gamay. Delicate floral notes on the nose, followed by bursts of ripe pears and peaches on the palate. Crisp, vibrant and refreshing with fine, persistent mousse. Closes in a lingering buttery brioche finish. Perfect aperitif and matched with soft cheeses, shellfish and creamy sauces. Tasted July 2017. Tania Thomas – www.runawaygrape.com
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale straw coloured with yeasty, brioche and toasted bread notes. Lemon citrus, white grapefruit and rocky mineral lime with lively persistent bubbles. Medium minus body, medium plus acidity with lemon, lime, zesty green apple with a touch of salt on the finish. Excellent QPR. Pair with tapas meats, veggie apps and a get together with family and friends. - tasted August 2017
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine is amazing value and a must have for the festive season. Traditional method sparkling, bold golden colour with a blush hue. 12% ABV and non vintage. Aromatics of baked bread (lees), minerality , mild orchard stone fruit. Crisp and refreshing, with seemingly non-stop fine bubbles. Well-balanced and nicely integrated, this wine is ready to go now with or without food and is a wine for all seasons. A wine to buy by the case.
