Love this 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato from the Sicily wine region. Intense on the nose with ripe dark fruit, cherry and dried tobacco leaf aromas, generous on the palate with ripe blackberry, blueberry, dark cherry, cedar spice and vanilla flavours. Nicely done!

Food pairings: game roasts, roast partridge, bison burgers.

Cerasuolo Di Vittoria Classico Iri Da Iri 2013 is a new wine from Valle dell'Acate - a full-bodied blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato from the estate’s oldest vines and aged three years in 500-litre French oak casks and then 18 months in bottle. Fragrant on the nose with ripe plum, blueberry, black cherry, dried violets, rich and intense on the palate with blueberry, cocoa, dried tobacco leaf, mint, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla flavours on the palate.- Community Wine Reviews
