Reviews and Ratings

This rich, full-bodied sake utilises Miyagi's celebrated Japanese sake rice, Sasanishiki. The flavour of the rice is drawn out by a slow brewing process which uses Urakasumi's own specially cultivated distillers' yeast. The rice's full flavour and hint of sourness can both be savoured, and this sake gives to the palate a sensation of being perfectly matured. Gently warmed, the taste of this pure junmaishu sake can be appreciated even more fully. Source: Vintages Wine Ratings and Review, undated.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
